Oklahoma Academic Team hosted a mirror of Sword Bowl at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga today. Nine teams, including one house team, competed in a nine-game round robin, and Dismal's Paradox (Texas-Austin B) defeated Two-Handed Engine (Texas-Austin A) in a one-match playoff to claim the Sword Bowl championship. The top five individual performers were Eric Kwartler (Texas-Austin A), Vik Vaz (Texas-Austin B), Max Tohline (Missouri-Rolla A), Matt Nance (Texas-Austin B), and Matt Chadbourne (Missouri-Rolla B). The next tournament for Oklahoma Academic Team will be its Mid-Level Challenge, a quiz bowl competition for middle school teams, on February 3, 2007.
