Oklahoma Academic Team sent two teams to Texas Open 3: Trouble at Lilybaeum, held at the University of Texas at Dallas and hosted by the University of Texas at Austin, on Saturday, March 10. After a preliminary round robin and another round robin for the playoffs, Texas A&M A claimed the championship with a 9-0 record.
Oklahoma A (Jeremy Hixson, Matthew King, Brian Morrow, and Jamie Powers) finished second with a 7-2 record, and Oklahoma B (Kevin Bagnall, David Gagne, Ryan Grabowski, and Andrew Pearl) came in third at 4-5. Jeremy was the second-best scorer with 47.22 points per game and was followed immediately by Ryan, who had 35.00 PPG. The next tournament for the Oklahoma Academic Team is Boren Cup 22, the latest incarnation of the organization's high school tournament series, to be held on Saturday, March 31, in Kaufman Hall at the University of Oklahoma.
