Oklahoma Academic Team sent two teams to compete in ACF Regionals, held at the University of Tulsa on Saturday, February 17. After a preliminary double round robin and another single round robin for the playoffs, Texas claimed the championship with an 11-0 record.
Oklahoma A (Emily Duda, Ryan Grabowski, Jeremy Hixson, and Brian Morrow) finished in third place with a 5-6 record. Oklahoma B (David Gagne, Alan Haberman, Andrew Pearl, and Jamie Powers) finished in fourth place with a 1-10 record. The top five individual scorers were Chris Romero (North Texas), Eric Kwartler (Texas), Matt Nance (Texas), Jeremy Hixson (Oklahoma A), and Jamie Powers (Oklahoma B). The next intercollegiate tournament for the Oklahoma Academic Team will be Texas Open 3: Trouble at Lilybaeum, held somewhere in Dallas on March 10. Meanwhile, OAT will send a contingent to the NAQT Oklahoma State Championship, held at Oklahoma State, on February 24.
